Senior Spotlight: Juliana Campesi
15 Years Dancing at Sharon's Studio of Dance & Music
$450 Scholarship
I started dancing at Sharon's Dance in 2004 when I was three years old, and have continued to dance there for fifteen years after that. I have always had a lot of fun dancing, whether if I was in ballet, tap, and jazz, hip-hop, or contemporary. When I was younger, I just enjoyed moving around and dance, but now I enjoy learning the dances and performing them. All the teachers I have had have made fun and exciting dances, some might have been difficult and a little bit painful at times, but I enjoyed every second of it. Sharon's Studio of Dance and Music has felt like a second home to me. Even though I only go once a week now, I always feel comfortable and welcome there.
Every week I looked forward to going to dance because it was always fun, and I still learned something I enjoyed. From a very young age, I loved dancing; it was a great way to have fun while staying active. Learning how to dance made me more comfortable and confident to dance in front of people as I grew up. Overall, dancing at Sharon's was very enjoyable, and I'm going to miss it when I go to college.
Juliana will be receiving a $450 scholarship from Sharon's Studio of Dance & Music. She will be attending Rutgers University studying Animal Science. Congratulations, Juliana! We are so proud of you and will miss you very much.
