Since 1975, over 30,000 students have taken lessons at our dance studio in Whippany, more than any other studio in the area. Our goal is to provide our students with the skills they need to enjoy dance and music for a lifetime and to provide our families with outstanding customer service.
A Program for Everyone
At Sharon’s Studio of Dance & Music in Whippany, we have a program for everyone! We offer beginning and advanced level recreational classes for students ages two through eighteen. We also offer a competition team with various levels for the serious student who wants to compete in dance. Music lessons are geared toward the student's preference in pop, jazz, or classical instruction. All genres of dance are open to boys, but our most popular class for boys of all ages is our break dance class.
Music & Dance Classes at One Convenient Location
Students and siblings have the ability to take music lessons and dance classes in one convenient location. Music lessons are offered at a variety of different times so you can book music lessons that correspond with dance classes to save you hours of driving and waiting time between activities.
Teacher Training & Office Staff
We understand the importance of giving your child a quality dance and music education, that is why we provide the best trained instructors. All of our teachers are highly qualified and are required to continue their education. Some programs our teachers have attended are Dance Teacher Summit, Dance Studio Life, and more! On top of having highly qualified teachers, there is also always an office team member available during class times to help with any questions.​
State-of-the-Art Facility
Our dance rooms are equipped with marley dance floors. Mirrors start at floor level so that dancers can see their feet from any area of the dance floor. Our waiting rooms are equipped with TV monitors so that you can watch your child’s dance classes and music lessons. We constantly renovate and improve our facilities to ensure that we are always providing our students and parents with the best experience possible.

At Sharon's Studio of Dance & Music, we value our dedicated students and families, which is why we offer Priority Registration for the upcoming season. This exclusive opportunity allows our current students to secure their spots in preferred classes before registration opens to the general public. By participating in Priority Registration, our students enjoy the advantage of first choice in class selections, ensuring they can continue their dance journey with their favorite instructors and at times that best fit their schedules. Graduating Student Scholarship
At Sharon's Studio of Dance & Music, we stand out by not just fostering artistic talent but also by commemorating our students' achievements. The Graduating Student Scholarship is a distinctive tradition where high school seniors receive a meaningful monetary gift at their final recital. What makes this scholarship truly special is the personal touch – each student shares their journey through a heartfelt essay, reflecting on their time at Sharon's and outlining their future plans. These essays, featured on our blog and in the recital program, offer inspiring insights into the unique experiences and growth of our graduates.
