Competition Team
Our competition dance team in Whippany, NJ is composed of students ages four to eighteen years old who are serious about dance. Students take classes in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, and acro and rehearse all of their competition dances once a week.
The team competes at three regional dance competitions per year, with solos, duos, and trios performing an additional one to two times per year. Past competitions include Dance Xplosion, Groove, Starbound, Beyond the Stars, National Dance Showcase, Believe, On Stage America, and Starquest, among others.

Open Audition for Competition Team
We're holding an open audition for our Competition Team. This is an exciting opportunity for dancers who are ready to grow their skills, build confidence, and experience the thrill of performing and competing as part of a team.
Audition Date: Saturday, February 28, 2026
Location: Sharon’s Studio of Dance & Music, Whippany, NJ
Audition Schedule:
3:00–4:00pm – Ages 4–7
4:00–5:00pm – Ages 8 and up
Students will audition in ballet, tap, and jazz. Dancers should wear comfortable dance attire and bring any necessary dance shoes.
Spots are limited. Online registration is required to participate in the audition.
