9 Years Dancing at Sharon's

I started break dancing in 4th grade (2009). After I graduate I’m attending night school at Morris County Vocational School to get my license to become an electrician. The first class I took with Mr. Max amazed me. Being able to move and learn such awesome new dance moves was amazing! Plus, everyone was really nice and Mr. Max became my role model. I loved the amount of attention it brought to me. Just having people around me watching me break dance was the best feeling in the world and I still crave it today. Plus I love having this talent and many people literally circle around you to see your talent is another great feeling that I love.

More importantly, I bonded with the best group of guys over the years and we all stuck with break dancing. Even when I made mistakes we would all laugh about it and try again. I would have never thought in a million years I would be capable of things I learned from Mr. Max. It makes me feel great and I look awesome! Every time I failed at something, Mr. Max was always able to help me fix my mistakes. If I didn't understand something, he always had the patience to teach me until I got it, and never made me do anything I didn't want to attempt. I loved that he still encouraged me to try. I now understand that if I don’t try, I’ll never learn.

I would not be the person I am today if I never started break dancing. Thank you to Sharon’s Dance Studio and Mr. Max!
