Lyrical dance is a genre that combines elements of ballet, jazz, and contemporary dance. Lyrical provides dancers with an outlet to tell the story of a song through their movements. Lyrical dance often incorporates music with strong lyrics, and the movements are designed to interpret and enhance the feeling and message of the music. Lyrical dance requires a high level of technical skill and emotional depth from the dancer, as it aims to convey a powerful and meaningful story through movement. Class focuses on turns, leaps, tricks, and flexibility. We recommend this class be taken in conjunction with ballet and/or jazz.
