If you recently enrolled your child in dance classes, you may find yourself wondering, “what do I put in my child’s dance bag?”. As a parent of a child who dances, it's important to pack a dance bag with all the necessary items to ensure they have a successful and enjoyable experience. Don’t worry, we’re here to help!
The items to pack in your child’s dance bag will most likely vary depending on a variety of factors such as how old they are and what class(es) they are enrolled in, but here are some of the basics:
Dance shoes: Make sure to pack the appropriate shoes for the type of dance your child is taking - ballet, jazz, tap, turn shoes, etc. View requirements for your classes.
Hair ties and accessories: Keep extra hair ties, bobby pins, and headbands in the bag to keep your child's hair out of their face while dancing.
Water bottle: Staying hydrated is crucial during physical activity, so make sure your child has a water bottle in their bag.
First aid kit: Accidents can happen, so it's always a good idea to have a small first aid kit with band-aids, antiseptic wipes, and pain relievers. Don’t worry if you don’t have this - we have these items in the studio as well!
By packing these essential items, your child will be prepared and comfortable for their dance class or performance.
