Introducing Our New Musical Theater Class in Whippany, NJ

Does your child love to sing, dance, and perform? If so, they'll feel right at home in our brand new Musical Theater class at Sharon's Studio of Dance & Music!

Beginning this season, dancers can join us Sundays from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM to experience the excitement of Broadway while building confidence, coordination, and stage presence in a fun and supportive environment. Whether your child dreams of performing on stage or simply enjoys singing and dancing at home, Musical Theater is a wonderful way to explore their creativity and develop new skills.

What Is a Musical Theater Class?

Musical Theater combines dance, music, acting, and storytelling to bring a performance to life. Students learn to connect movement with emotion while developing the confidence to perform in front of an audience.

In class, dancers will learn fun choreography inspired by Broadway-style musicals while improving rhythm, coordination, musicality, and performance skills. They'll also explore character development, facial expressions, and storytelling, creating an engaging class that encourages creativity and self-expression.

No previous Musical Theater experience is required. All that's needed is a positive attitude and a willingness to have fun!

Meet Your Teacher, Miss Tina F.

Our new Musical Theater class will be taught by Miss Tina F., whose passion for dance, performance, and creativity makes her a wonderful fit for aspiring young performers.

Miss Tina began dancing at the age of three and grew up training and competing in a variety of styles, including jazz, contemporary, lyrical, and musical theater. She recently completed CLI Conservatory under the direction of Teddy Forance, where she trained with a wide variety of choreographers and gained both camera and live performance experience.

She is passionate about creating a positive and encouraging environment where dancers can grow both technically and artistically while building confidence in themselves. Miss Tina is excited to share her love of dance and creativity with the students at Sharon's Studio of Dance & Music.

Shine on Stage at Our Annual Recital

One of the most exciting parts of our dance season is our annual recital in June.

Students in Musical Theater will have the opportunity to perform a fun Broadway-inspired routine on stage for family and friends. It's an exciting chance to showcase everything they've learned throughout the year while creating memories that will last a lifetime.

For many students, performing in the recital becomes one of their favorite parts of the dance season and helps build confidence that extends far beyond the stage.
