Performing group gives students a chance to perform several times a year. Performing group students take a tap, ballet, and jazz combo class during the year, as well as an additional performing group class to learn their choreography. The performing group was established at Sharon's Studio of Dance and Music in 2000 and it is growing faster than ever. The students perform up to five times a year, not including the year-end recital. Class consists of warm up and technique followed by choreography. While weekly classes are mostly jazz, performing group students are expected to study other forms of dance as sometimes ballet, tap, lyrical, or contemporary dances will be taught.
Past performance venues include local nursing homes, Six Flags Dance Fest, Somerset Patriots Baseball games, and more. We're always open to additional performance venues, so feel free to contact the studio with new ideas and opportunities!
