A fun and interactive class with tot and adult. This is a lightly structured dance class consisting of singing, ballet, creative movement and tumbling. This class will help in the development of motor skills as well a communication and social skills.
Classes are combined to give the student a strong foundation and well-rounded study of dance.
Ages 3-4 (Pre-school)
This level combines ballet, tap and acrobatics in a 45 minute class.Ages 5 (Kindergarten)
This level combines ballet, tap and acrobatics in a 1 hour class.Age 6-7 (1ST – 2ND grade)
This level combines ballet, tap and jazz in a 1 hour and 15 minute class.Ages 8 & up
This level combines ballet, tap and jazz. Each class is ½ hour to 45 minutes in length.
Hip Hop is a contemporary form of dance which incorporates jazz, street and funk styles. This is a high energy, fun class to let your self loose in. The hip hop styles can be seen in many music videos!
This class combines Hip Hop and gymnastics. There is mat and floor work in basic tumbling and you will advance to such moves as walkover, handsprings, ariels, etc.
Lyrical dancing tells a story through dance and combines classical ballet, modern and jazz technique. This class helps develop strength, flexibility and balance with a strong ballet base.
Break classes are the extension of hip hop. Break requires a great deal of upper body strength. Many of the dance moves are on the floor using your arms. A very popular Break video is “You Got Served”.
Irish Step is the form of Irish dancing which you can see in the popular show “Riverdance”. There are two forms of Irish Step Classes. Soft shoe, which is the ballet version of Irish dancing and Hard shoe, which is the tap version of Irish dancing. To enroll in a Hard Shoe class, we recommend the student have at least one year of Irish Step Soft Shoe or one year of Tap dancing.
Each class begins with a barre followed by across floor moves such as leaps and turns as well as center floor combinations. This class will focus on building strength, increasing turnout and extension.
Pointe is the extension of ballet class. Dancers must be 11 years of age and have had at least one year of ballet training to be eligible for pointe.
Jazz is a combination of Broadway and funk styles of dance. Students begin class with a center floor warm-up, followed by across floor combinations such as leaps and turns. Class is ended with combinations.
Tap class develops rhythm and sound coordination skills. You will learn technique, rhythm and timing in combinations at the barre, center and across the floor.
This class combines dance and acting/drama in a one hour class.
A non competitive group which performs an additional 4-5 times a year.
This program is designed for the serious dancer.
